Kathleen
Savage addresses the Assembled audience as part of A Remembrance
Service during the International Focusing Conference in the
Netherlands. The
Theme of her talk was a brief sharing, along with 4 other
delegates’ chosen from 4 different countries, was speaking of
the Personal Experience of Trauma as a consequence of violence
and war in their country and its personal impact.All speakers
spoke of the healing of the pain, moving on but not forgetting
the sacrifices and the pain incurred before each of their
represented countries began to build peace.
Kathleen shared
on her experience of her home been invaded by paramilitary
gunmen in 1994 and on the violent death of her 86 year old
cousin and his nephew of 62 as they played cards during a social
event in a local bar while watching the world cup that year. |
